MELINA GEORGIOU (MELLY MEL)
Melina has been somewhat of an entertainer since a young age, since dancing from the young age of 8 and then going on to join theatre school in London until the age of 16. After that, she knew she wanted to become a presenter and went on to study TV & Film production at University where she also did Live presenting too.
Presenting at University then brought her many opportunities after her studies, where she presented in London for small companies and started up her own YouTube channel where she could make videos and entertain her audience talking about all of her passions which included beauty, food and vlogging.
Since then, she has had a creative career in production, make up artistry, modelling and now is a presenter twice a week for GreekBeat radio where she also works for their social media pages too.
Melina is a big fan of modern Greek artists such as Marina Satti, LILA, Evangelia, Konstantinos Argiros and Anastasia and loves being able to explore how the Modern Greek music industry merges in with the Latin and English world. Playing this music on her shows, mixed with English sounds and world music makes her feel more connected to her heritage as a Greek Cypriot living in London and it has brought her closer to loving Greek music than she ever has been.
