Known for her deeply expressive art, empowering fashion, and transformative women’s initiatives, Elizabeth Friedrich invites us into her world in a heartfelt new interview. She shares not only her story but her soul—expressed through every brushstroke, dress, and word.

Below is the full conversation:

Your Art and Fashion

1. What made you start painting and designing clothes?
Since I was a little girl, painting was my escape and my expression. While others in school were focused on the lessons, I was drawing in my notebooks—pouring out my emotions through colors and shapes. Later, I started creating clothes because I wanted people to feel special, unique… like they were one of a kind. I didn’t want fashion that just looked good—I wanted fashion that felt like it belonged to your soul.

2. Where do you get ideas for your art and fashion?
My ideas don’t come from trends or plans—they come straight from the heart. I never sit and think, “What should I create?” I just feel it in the moment. It’s like something flows through me. My hands follow what my spirit feels.

3. Can you tell us about one of your favorite designs or paintings?
Honestly, I can’t choose one. Each piece is born from emotion, from a moment that meant something to me. They’re like my children—and just like a mother can’t love one child more than another, I can’t separate them. Each one carries a part of me.

Red Diamond Projects

4. Why did you create the Red Diamond Awards?
At the beginning, I noticed so many incredible foreign women doing amazing things—but no one saw them. No one celebrated them. I wanted to give them a platform, to show the Cyprus community how powerful and inspiring they are. Over time, I dreamed of something bigger—uniting women from everywhere, no matter their origin. Because it doesn’t matter where we come from—we all deserve respect, support, and love. We rise higher when we rise together.

5. What is the goal of the Red Diamond Club?
The goal is to create a space where everyone—regardless of gender—is valued for who they are and what they do. Not judged, not labeled. Just respected. It’s not a “women’s club” or a “men’s club.” It’s a human club where kindness, professionalism, and purpose matter most.

6. Have you seen any women’s lives change because of these projects?
Yes. And every time I see even a small step forward, it fills my heart. These women—they are my treasures. When one of them calls or messages me with good news, especially on days when I feel tired or discouraged—it gives me wings. It reminds me why I do this. I love them all so deeply.

Your Talk Show – CrossRoads

7. Why did you decide to start the CrossRoads show?
CrossRoads was born in 2020—but then COVID stopped everything. I kept the dream alive, and last year, I brought it back. It’s the sister of Red Diamond, with a different purpose: to open the conversation, to bring real issues to the surface, and to show that we all have our own crossroads. Even if just one episode touches someone’s heart or helps them feel less alone—it’s already worth it.

8. How do you choose who to interview on the show?
I choose people with soul. Not based on their number of followers, but on their message—what they carry inside. I want to hear voices that matter, stories that have depth.

9. What has been your favorite moment from the show so far?
Every episode holds something powerful. They’re like chapters of a book—each one unforgettable, each one carrying a piece of truth. I live for those moments of raw connection.

Empowering Women & Future Plans

10. What advice would you give to a woman who wants to follow her dream?
Look around you. Who is walking beside you? Are they lifting you up—or pulling you down? The wrong people can destroy even the most beautiful dreams. Be brave enough to wait for the right ones. Or go alone until they come.
Don’t be afraid. Keep moving. Follow what your heart tells you, even if you fail—you’ll grow wiser. And always, always pay attention to your habits and the people in your life. They shape your future more than anything else.

11. What new things are you working on now?
Right now, I’m working on a very special event in May for parents and children—something close to my heart. I’m preparing my art exhibition, planning the next Red Diamond Awards with our incredible new Diamonds, and continuing my studies. These are my focuses until November.

12. How do you manage your time?
That’s honestly the hardest part. Sometimes, I don’t manage it at all. What helps me is setting a personal deadline—and if I don’t meet it, I “punish” myself by skipping something I really wanted to do. It’s strange, but it works. I’ve even missed important events because I didn’t finish what I promised myself. But when I commit mentally, I do it. It’s my way of staying accountable to my dreams.
